With our Trunk Show coming THIS THURSDAY I thought it might be fun to go through some of the top dress trends of the moment. There is so much variety in terms of prints and styles these days, you’ll easily be able to find the perfect dress for your personality. We’re bringing in 100’s of dresses for the Trunk Show this year, but here are a few of my favourite styles from Lipsy.

1. Florals

Florals have been an important spring print the past few years, and this year is no exception! While we’re seeing a lot of floral tops and skirts these days, I absolutely love floral dresses. Patterns can be light and fun with small flowers, or bold with a few large flowers across the fabric. To avoid looking too “garden party,” toughen up the look with a pair of tough girl sandals or a cropped leather jacket.

2. Bows

Another trend we’re seeing lately is large bows. Sometimes they can be placed at the waist, like in the picture above. Other times they are worn at the back of the dress, or even on the shoulder. Bows always bring out a classic feminine look, and they can dress up a simple style.

3. Bright Colors

We all love our little black dresses, but this year color is standing out. Bright pinks, blues, and purples are favoured as we’re looking for ways to have fun with fashion. Black is still a classic, but we love dressing up in new and exciting colors.

4. Ruffles

The trend toward ruffles has been going strong, with ruffled dresses becoming more popular. If you don’t want to wear ruffles all over, we love the idea of something simple like ruffled sleeves. It gives the dress a little bit extra detail.
